We introduce ourselves, our schools and cities

At the beginning, as usualy, we will introduce ourselves and our schools. That could be a photograph of student modified in different programmes, could be movies and slideshows as well. It'd be nice to use different forms of transmission: audio and video.




Our school and school library

Relations with the International School Library Month. We also show libraries - city libraries and school libraries too.

In November we invite you to set up a school contest for the best mascot of the project: books gnome, which takes care of a library and cares about books. The gnome can be painted or created in any graphical programme. It should be a cut from a background picture (best as a gif). The goal is to have the same logo (without a background) to use in any documents and places. Each school will choose five of the best pictures and after that, among them, on Facebook, we will vote for the best one. It will be a mascot and a symbol of our project.



How is a book made? Christmas traditions 

In December it would be good to carry out lessons with students "How is a book made?". Photo stories will show them. Maybe we, the teachers, will also upload scenarios of those lessons?

Our task for December is also presenting by every child and teacher, in any way, a favorite book.

We will also have our Christmas traditions, and we will make the Christmas wishes.



Reading is cool 

Students create posters, slideshows, movies and other materials showing that they like reading, it is a pleasure for them and they encourage their friends to read too.

Students in small groups will mutually write short books. We will use different programmes for this. We will start making our mutual, illustrated dictionary. There we will gather words connected with a book theme. We will show, how they sound in our languages and in english. Now we know a lot about books, so let's do quizzes, puzzles and other tasks for children. Let's show our fairy tales. Winter books - let's gather books with winter themes.



Together we show a chosen book 

Each partner chooses one book from his country and with whole class or group presents it in any way to other partners.

What would you say about a contest about presenting a favourite book character? It will be an introduction to a future task, choosing a character which will represent us during writing our mutual book.

We still create tasks for students. We will use them in the future.

A night in a library

A party for children in a library at an own scenario.

We begin to write a mutual book. This is how it is supposed to look like: Two children are accidentaly trapped in a library over a night. One of them loves books, and the second one hates reading. During the night, books come to life and book heroes are trying to prove that it is worth to read.

Together we will write an interactive book with the presence of popular literature characters. Each country chooses one hero, who in any way will introduce his book, trying to encourage to read it.

Our book will be an interactive e-book with tasks for students, information and additional or alternative versions. We create different tasks for students.
